15 - HOMEWARD BOUND 2007-2008: The Urban Village and Form-Based Zoning: It's Not Your Father's Zoning Ordinance!

21 - MICHIGAN TRANSPORTATION ASSET MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE.
Upfront & Company, Marquette, MI. The objective of this conference is to examine the relationship between asset management, pavement management, and road funding using various examples from road agencies in Michigan and across the country. PA 199 of 2007 now requires the development of a pavement management system for all federal aid eligible roads. Fee: $30-$100. 22 - SUSTAINABLE ENERGY PROJECT DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP FOR PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS.
Oakland University, Meadow Brook Hall, Rochester, MI. Hosted by Oakland University, Energy Management. Renewable, or sustainable energy systems are receiving a great deal of attention in recent months due to rising energy costs, the security of fuel supply, climate change, and the need to foster this emerging manufacturng sector to create jobs, and to provide educational curriculums to support this growth. This workshop will discuss wood chip boiler systems and community & small scale wind power. Fee: $100. Seating is limited. 27 - June 26 - NEW PLANNING ENABLING ACT TRAINING PROGRAMS.
On March 13th Governor Granholm signed SB 206 into law as PA 33 of 2008. This act is the Michigan Planning Enabling Act. It repeals the Municipal Planning Act, the Township Planning Act and the County Planning Acts as of September 1, 2008.

A comprehensive training program and new Michigan Planning Guidebook will be presented at 29 new training programs beginning May 27 and running to June 26th. The tentative dates and locations of programs are listed below.
